The inlets of burners of hot blast furnaces 7 # ~ 9 # in an Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was scoured by air flow frequently and the refractory on the inlet suffered thermal fatigue due to long term operation in thermal state, and the repeated temperature change during damping down, all together they caused relatively large stress on this position. Meanwhile, the thermal shock resistance of brick material was defective, which caused falling off of upper part of the SQ2 ring bricks, S3 ring bricks, the S2 ring brick, the S1 ring bricks, and the support strength of roof bricks was reduced, the temperature on the roof tube was overly high locally, the structure of roof bricks changed slowly and the structure safety of the hot blast furnace was threatened seriously. With the ceramic soldering technology, the company welded the bricks on the burner inlet firmly, which supported the roof bricks effectively, so that the temperature of the steel structure on the roof was significantly decreased to normal range.
